Five Commercial Real Estate Apps for Tablet Users

Along with other more generally useful business applications, specialized Real Estate apps are becoming available that can save time and even connect to smartphones.

A Popular App Designed for Property Searches
Designed to provide comprehensive property information instantly, the CoStarGo app (iOS only) allows commercial real estate professionals to view properties around their current location, search availabilities, and view current tenants, sale history, leasing, and owner contacts on their tablets. Email and video conferencing capabilities are also included.

Four Business Apps Useful in Commercial Real Estate
Commercial real estate professionals are enthusiastic about three apps that are especially useful in their work:

  • DropBox - File sharing app (essentially a virtual hard drive) that stores files and makes them accessible on other devices and uses cloud-based storage on the DropBox website. Easy sharing with colleagues is available in "community" folders, or specific files can be shared via individual links. (iOS and Android)
  • GoodReader - A versatile file management system that handles documents, pictures, and PDFs, and allows documents to be marked up and/or signed and then emailed or sent out through DropBox. (iOS only)
  • WorldCard Mobile - Take a picture of a business card and WorldCard loads the information into built-in contact apps with a very high degree of accuracy. (iOS and Android)
  • Pocket Informant - Integrates both calendar and task lists in a customizable tool. More expensive than many tablet business apps, it contains multiple "sub" apps and has the ability to connect with other apps, which makes it especially valuable. (iOS and Android)

You can find more apps for your tablet on the iTunes Store (iOS) or GooglePlay (Android) website.
